Nerja Caves

The Nerja Caves are a cathedral sized network of chambers hung with some of the largest stalactite columns found anywhere. Discovered by chance in the 1950s, they stay cool year round and make an easy, dramatic half day from the eastern coast. Pair them with a swim at one of Nerja's coves and a stroll through the flower draped lanes of nearby Frigiliana for a perfect day away from the city.
